Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging Presentations at 2019 Gerontological Society of America Annual Scientific Meeting

Experts from the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging will present 13 papers, posters and symposia at the 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Gerontological Society of America in Austin, Texas November 13 through November 16, 2019.

Benjamin Rose presenters will address: evidence-based programs for caregiving, human-animal interaction, care planning in early stage dementia, sharing life stories, aging in China, and other topics.

On Friday, November 15, Senior Research Scientist Carol Whitlatch, PhD will present the M. Powell Lawton Lecture titled “Following in the Footsteps of a Great Applied Gerontologist (While Simultaneously Forging Your Own Path)." Dr. Whitlatch was the recipient was of the 2018 M. Powell Lawton Award from GSA. The Lawton Award is presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions from applied research that has benefited older people and their care.
